Name(s) - Persephone. She'll also answer to the Roman equivalent, Proserpina. She's been called Kore before, as well.

Sphere - Matter

Age - As old as the dawn of the Greeks' belief in her.

Physical Description - Delicate, with pale skin and dark hair. You can't seem to get a good read on her age, which could be anywhere between thirteen and thirty-something.

Other - Plants bloom and perk up whenever she's near.

Patronage - Persephone will choose proteges she thinks she’d be best able to identify with; people whose stories carry themes similar to her own. I can see her pinging on witches, as they are portrayed in Utena, or in Umineko. Yes, this is a somewhat gendered archetype, but it’s not 100% exclusive. Some characters I can see her patroning include Namine, from Kingdom Hearts, Himemiya Anthy, from Shoujo Kakumei Utena, and Sumeragi Subaru, from Tokyo Babylon and X (hey, look, a male example!) She will likely only take one or two proteges at a time, and be picky about those.

Once she’s acquired proteges, she would devote them a good deal of attention. She would not override their wishes on a whim, but if she believes it would serve a larger purpose, as far as their development and success is concerned, she would go ahead and status them with whatever it is she needs to. I can especially see her doing things which would enhance her proteges ability to feel various emotions - or dialing those same emotions down, perhaps to make the ghost realize they were there to begin with. This doesn’t necessarily have to be a negative thing. She could status you with a heightened ability to feel joy, or a lowered ability to feel social anxiety! But she won’t abandon the negative emotions, either. There is value, after all, in being made to cry, after years of numbness.

My standard player policy is 'ping me for unusual things.' Beyond that, have fun. If someone tries to read her mind, I'll write you something nifty, once I figure out what that is. Fourth-walling does not apply, since she's a figure from the Greek pantheon, and that's where most people would recognize her from.

She's not a fighter and won't fight your character directly if attacked, but they might find themselves... facing strange misfortunes, afterward. And by 'strange misfortunes,' I mean 'whatever you the player think would be most entertainingly mean.'

She can, in fact, revive people. Death is one of her primary domains. But it won't be an easy revival. Those brought back might go back to being a ghost, even if they're supposed to be solid at that point in time, and at player discretion, they might even become invisible for a period of time. (Or unable to be heard by others, but that's meaner to the player and harder to play...) Any revival will come with a sense of loss and hollowness. A person questing for someone else's revival may choose to take the side effects onto themselves.
